RecentlyPostedJobs vs HiringCafe
Why RecentlyPostedJobs is better than HiringCafe at finding newly posted software, data science and AI jobs.
HiringCafe builds search landings from ATS inventory. We beat it on first-seen dates, not recrawl volume.
| When you are looking | HiringCafe | RecentlyPostedJobs |
|---|---|---|
| Where jobs come from | Recrawled open ATS inventory | Probed career portals, first-seen only |
| What “new” means | Currently listed, recrawled inventory | First-seen requisition in the last 7 days |
| Same job posted again | Can look current while still open | Same requisition id is never new twice |
| Where you apply | Employer page inside still-open inventory | Employer page from a 7-day first-seen feed |
| Role mix | Broad titles and locations | Software, data science, and AI |
What HiringCafe is
HiringCafe turns career-site inventory into searchable landings — title, title plus city, country, and remote or hybrid. That catalog is still a board of open roles. Recrawls keep a requisition visible for as long as the employer leaves it up.
Why that is a weaker way to find new jobs
A role can sit on HiringCafe for as long as the employer keeps it open. Recrawls and location permutations do not tell you whether the requisition was first published this week or last quarter. If you are trying to apply while the posting is actually new, you still have to inspect dates yourself — and many ATS pages sort by last updated, not first posted.
Why RecentlyPostedJobs is better
- We only promote a role as new the first time we see its employer requisition id, and only when the employer’s original posting date falls in the last 7 days.
- The same id coming back later is stored for history and never shown as new again.
- Specialty pages use the same software, data, and AI labels as the board filters — not every job title an ATS will emit.
- Apply still opens the employer’s job page. We do not collect applications.
- Keyword×city spam is not the product: combination pages exist only when at least three first-seen listings match, so you are not ranking for empty landings.
- The 7-day window is the whole game. An open-but-old req does not occupy the same list as a role that opened this morning.
