The Controller is deployed at scale, both on-premises within corporate enterprises supporting tens of thousands of clients, and in the cloud across multiple Amazon AWS instances. As the platform continues to scale, you will contribute to the development of new capabilities, support additional products and enhance existing functionality. Working within a small and focused engineering team, you will have the opportunity to develop across the full technology stack, with the flexibility to specialize in front-end or back-end development. There may also be opportunities to contribute to the Windows endpoint management platform using C# and C++. You will be responsible for: Designing, developing and maintaining features across the Controller platform. Developing and enhancing APIs and backend services using Python 3, Django and SQL . Building and enhancing front-end interfaces and data visualizations using technologies including React, TypeScript and Vue.js . Supporting the deployment, operation and ongoing improvement of services hosted in AWS . Supporting installation and upgrade capabilities for customers running self-hosted, on-premises environments. Developing and maintaining unit tests, automated installation tests and other CI/CD automation. Investigating and resolving technical issues across the application stack. Contributing to technical design discussions, code reviews and engineering best practices. Working collaboratively with other engineers to deliver reliable, secure and scalable software. Taking ownership of assigned features and technical problems from development through to delivery and support. Identifying opportunities to improve the quality, maintainability, performance and automation of the platform. Requirements for the Web Developer Bachelor's degree in a STEM subject, or equivalent practical experience. Professional software development experience, ideally within web application development. Experience developing software using one or more relevant technologies such as Python, Django, SQL, React, TypeScript, Vue.js or similar technologies . Good understanding of software engineering principles, including testing, debugging, version control and maintainable code. Ability to independently investigate and solve moderately complex technical problems. Experience working collaboratively within a software engineering team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand existing systems and contribute improvements. A proactive, self-starting approach with a willingness to learn new technologies and take ownership of development tasks. Desirable experience Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms . Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing. Experience developing or supporting software deployed in large-scale or enterprise environments. Familiarity with C# or C++. Experience working across both front-end and back-end development. What it's like You'll join a talented and collaborative engineering team where your ideas are valued and your impact is visible. We pride ourselves on maintaining a supportive environment where engineers are trusted to take ownership, solve meaningful technical challenges and continue developing their skills. Whether you're enhancing existing services or delivering new features, you'll be working on products used by customers around the world while collaborating with experienced engineers who are passionate about building high-quality software. About HP Wolf Security HP Wolf Security develops industry-leading cybersecurity solutions that help protect devices, data and users from an ever-evolving threat landscape. Our unique approach combines endpoint security, isolation technology and cloud services to help organisations stay secure against both known and emerging threats. Joining HP Wolf Security means working on products that make a real difference to customers worldwide while collaborating with talented engineers, researchers and security experts. To see what our engineering teams are working on, check out our technical blogs: HP Threat Research Blog Our history: Inspired by the isolation principles of traditional virtualization, our team known then as Bromium, created a game-changing technology called micro-virtualization to protect end users against advanced malware. Every task the user performs, such as opening a document or clicking on a link, is isolated in its own micro-VM, with access to just the resources required for that task, and existing just for the life of the task. Protection is thus provided through isolation, without relying on detection, hence reliably defending the user from polymorphic and even zero-day malware. Bromium was acquired by HP Inc on 19 September 2019 forming HP Wolf Security.
