Staff Software Engineer, Full Stack

Lead the architectural design, development, and evolution of the Agentic context enrichment within the Google Cloud Knowledge Catalog. Drive the strategy and implementation of advanced context generation methods, evaluation and hosting infrastracture. Collaborate closely with product managers, User Experience (UX) designers, and other engineering teams to define requirements, shape the roadmap, and deliver impact. Ensure all functionalities adhere to Google Cloud's security and privacy standards, enforcing Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies and data governance controls. Manage the most challenging technical problems in areas such as relevant context generation from both structured and unstructured enterprise data, agent memory banks, sessions, privacy controls etc. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 8 years of experience in software development. 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction. 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, or cross-business projects.
