Develop and enhance the control plane for user-facing Google Cloud Networking features, covering areas such as Virtual Networks (VPC), Network Interfaces (NICs), Network Endpoints, Firewalls
Define and implement public Application Programming Interface (API) interfaces for Google Compute Engine (GCE) Networking products, ensuring they are intuitive and meet customer needs.
Design and implement business logic within our Java-based distributed systems, interacting with internal data models and orchestrating the programming of downstream network infrastructure.
Contribute to operational excellence, including testing, roll-outs, and maintenance for the Networking Core Services CLH.
Explore and apply Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to improve development workflows, system reliability, and operational efficiency.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
1 year of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated interest in exploring and applying AI/ML techniques to enhance software development, operations, or system intelligence.
Interest with public API design and development (e.g., RESTful APIs, gRPC).
Interest in designing, building, and operating scalable, highly available distributed systems.
Interest in cloud networking concepts (e.g., Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), firewalls, routing, IP address management).
