Software Engineer II

We are looking for a Software Engineer II who can immediately contribute to Angular, .NET, API, and SQL development efforts; thinks critically through problems; collaborates effectively with teammates; embraces AI-enabled development practices; and can grow into a highly productive full-stack engineer on the UEP team . This is a remote position and candidates must live within approximately a 70-mile radius of our office locations in Allen, TX This position is ineligible for immigration sponsorship and support. The salary for this position is $76,400-$98,000 and will be determined based on experience level. All positions, regardless of location, may require an onsite interview or in-person onboarding requirement to verify your identity. What you’ll be responsible for: Participates in product technical design and prototyping, software development, bug verification and resolution. May perform system analysis and programming activities which may require research and timely, effective, and quality delivery of software into production. With assistance, provides technical/engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until the retirement of the application. With assistance, tests applications based on business requirements and industry best practices. Uses best practices and standard guidance to create and modify routine, low impact code. Collaboratively works with QA team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Works with cross-functional teams to deliver software solutions that meet customer needs and business objectives. May participate in critical tasks and deliverables with assistance, and sets and updates expectations on size, scope, and timelines. Adheres to documented departmental and corporate standards. Performs other duties as assigned. Conducts unit tests and integration tests to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of developed software. Debug and troubleshoot issues as they arise, providing timely resolutions. May perform other job duties as assigned. What you’ll need to have: Minimum of 2 years of overall software development experience which should include. Angular development experience . C# / .NET development. REST API development and integration. SQL Server and database fundamentals. Experience debugging and troubleshooting application issues. Understanding of asynchronous programming concepts (async/await). Familiarity with secure coding practices and database best practices (e.g., avoiding SQL injection) . What would be nice for you to have: Full stack development experience (UI, APIs, and database). Experience conducting or participating in code reviews. Exposure to AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar solutions. Experience with modern development practices, source control, and collaborative development workflows.
