Software Engineering Manager, Robotics

Ford's Advanced Technology & Platforms organization is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead and grow a global robotics software engineering team. The team develops application software for a range of robot types, including mobile robots, manipulators and humanoid systems. This role is responsible for software delivery, team development and technical execution. The manager will work with technical leaders to define plans, coordinate development and ensure software is tested and ready for use on physical robots. The role also includes hiring, coaching engineers and improving common software components so they can be reused across robot platforms. Candidates should have experience managing software engineers, developing software for physical robots, and working with C++, Python and ROS 2. Experience leading distributed teams is preferred.
