Software Engineer III, Compute Infrastructure Control Security

The Cluster Management team is responsible for critical software that runs and manages Google’s data centers. Our mission is to unlock new levels of performance through parallelization and testing. Implement, debug and enhance various software components for efficient workloads scheduling. Develop tools to measure, quantify and fine tune the production load. Identify and drive optimizations and improvements to the user experience. Design large-scale systems, making the right trade-offs for reliability and maintainability. Communicate with partners across Alphabet to gather requirements and drive adoption efforts. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree. Preferred qualifications: Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field. 2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms. Experience coding in languages such as C++, C, Rust. Experience in concurrency, multi-threading and synchronization. Experience developing accessible technologies. Understanding of the Linux ecosystem.
