Software Development Engineer, Sports Data Platform - Prime Video Sports

What if you could build the systems that tell millions of sports fans exactly when something incredible just happened in a live game? That's the kind of problem you'll solve here. We're looking for a Software Development Engineer in Bangalore, India, to join a team that powers real time sports experiences for one of the world's largest streaming platforms. You'll work across three high impact areas that directly shape how customers discover and engage with live sports content globally. Key job responsibilities You'll design and build systems that deliver real time notifications to fans during live sporting events. Think score updates, close game alerts, and live activity feeds across multiple devices. You'll work with real time data pipelines that process live sports signals and make decisions about what to send, when, and to whom, all at global scale with low latency requirements. You'll build and improve the data matching platform that connects structured sports data (leagues, teams, players, tournaments) to the content catalog. This is the foundation that powers accurate content placement, search, and personalized recommendations for customers across 240+ countries and territories. A day in the life You'll own the design, implementation, and operation of distributed systems that handle high throughput, real time data. You'll write clean, maintainable code, participate in design reviews, and drive engineering best practices. You'll collaborate with product managers, designers, and partner engineering teams across time zones to define requirements and deliver solutions to ambiguous problems.
