DESCRIPTION: Join an industry leader in scientific instrumentation as a Software Engineering Manager, where you'll lead teams developing advanced software solutions that enable breakthrough scientific discoveries. REQUIREMENTS: • Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience, with 5+ years in technical leadership roles • Preferred Fields of Study: Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field • Technical certifications like SAFe, Scrum, or ISTQB a plus • Strong expertise in Agile methodologies including Scrum and SAFe frameworks • Experience leading distributed teams of 10-30 software professionals • Experience delivering complex software systems using modern technology stacks (.NET, Java, Python, Cloud platforms) • Strong leadership skills with ability to mentor, coach and develop engineering talent • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating across teams • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions • Experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, and automated testing frameworks • Experience building effective teams and promoting engineering excellence • Ability to balance strategic thinking with technical leadership • Strong project and resource management capabilities • Travel required up to 10-25% • Fluency in English required; additional languages a plus • Experience in scientific/analytical instrumentation or regulated environments preferred
