Type of Work: Highly technical, code-driven, and execution-focused. The daily focus is on accelerating the pre-sales cycle by building automated demo labs, scripting repetitive sales engineering tasks (like BOM generation and RFP parsing), and showcasing network automation capabilities to enterprise customers. Expected Volumes: High volume of scripting, API integration, and lab management. You will maintain internal code repositories, write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates, manage automated demonstration portals, and execute high-speed Proof of Concepts (PoCs) concurrently. Risk & Criticality: Moderate commercial risk. You are the technical automation engine for the team. While senior architects design the overarching telecom solutions, your code directly dictates how fast and effectively those solutions can be demonstrated and quoted. Broken scripts or failed API calls during a live demo can derail customer confidence and stall the sales cycle. What we’re looking for... Pre-Sales Workflow Automation: Write scripts to eliminate manual pre-sales bottlenecks. Automate the generation of Bill of Materials (BOMs) by querying CPQ APIs, automate network diagramming, and use data parsing to accelerate RFP/RFI responses. Zero-Touch Provisioning (ZTP) Demonstrations: Build and maintain the scripts used in live customer pitches. You will help senior architects show (not just tell) customers how easily our telecom network can be provisioned and managed via APIs. API & Systems Integration: Serve as the team's API expert. Connect disparate pre-sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ, vendor portals, and internal lab hypervisors) to create a seamless, automated workflow for the Solutions Architecture team. NetDevOps Handoff: Revolutionize the pre-sales-to-delivery handoff. Instead of handing over Word documents, package your successful solution design as Git repositories, JSON payloads, and Ansible playbooks for the Implementation team to deploy instantly. Foundational Network Support: Understand the basics of the telecom and networking equipment you are automating (IP addressing, routing basics, firewalls) just enough to successfully write the code that provisions them. You’ll need to have: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in network automation, scripting, DevOps, or a heavily automated systems engineering role. Automation & Scripting: High proficiency in Python. Deep understanding of how to interact with RESTful APIs, manage authentication (OAuth, API keys), and parse data formats like JSON, YAML, and XML. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with configuration management and provisioning tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Nornir. Version Control: Comfortable using Git and collaborative platforms like GitHub or GitLab to manage and document your code. Experience integrating or building with LLM APIs (Anthropic Claude, OpenAI) to automate internal workflows, such as parsing dense technical RFPs or auto-generating technical documentation. Even better if you have one or more of the following: Industry certifications focused on automation, such as Cisco DevNet Associate, AWS Certified Developer, or HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate. Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI) applied to network infrastructure (NetDevOps). Basic Networking Context: Must understand foundational networking concepts (OSI model, IP Subnetting, basic routing, and what a firewall does) to know what your scripts are automating. Where you’ll be working In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home and assigned office days set by your manager.
