As a Staff Engineer in SAP UI5 Fiori Development, your job includes the following: Lead the architecture, design, delivery, and lifecycle management of enterprise SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 solutions across SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, and related landscapes. Leverage AI and Generative AI capabilities, including approved enterprise AI tools and SAP AI services, to improve software engineering productivity, solution quality, automation, testing, troubleshooting, and developer experience, while following responsible AI, security, data privacy, human oversight, and governance requirements.Key Responsibilities · Own architecture and technical design for complex Fiori Elements and freestyle SAPUI5 applications, including supported extensions of standard Fiori applications. · Translate business requirements into scalable UI, OData, authorization, deployment, and support designs. · Define reusable components, coding standards, review controls, testing practices, and engineering guardrails. · Lead troubleshooting across browser, UI5, Fiori Launchpad, SAP Gateway/OData, CDS, and ABAP layers. · Drive performance, responsive design, accessibility, security, and cross-device compatibility. · Guide Launchpad content, roles, target mappings, transport, spaces/pages, catalogs, and SAP Build Work Zone integration. · Lead BAS, Git, CI/CD, testing, deployment, and production-support practices. · Mentor developers, conduct design and code reviews, estimate complex work, and manage technical risks. · Select Fiori Elements, freestyle UI5, adaptation, extension, or side-by-side patterns in line with clean-core principles. · Should be proficient with AI tools like Claude, Github Copilot and Microsoft Copilot. · Evaluate and guide appropriate adoption of AI and Generative AI capabilities across SAP engineering solutions, including AI-assisted development, testing, documentation, troubleshooting and automation. · Establish responsible usage patterns that consider security, data privacy, human oversight, clean-core principles and applicable AI governance requirements. Required Qualifications and Experience · 10–15 years of relevant SAP development experience with substantial hands-on SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 delivery. · Advanced SAPUI5, JavaScript, XML, HTML5, CSS3, MVC, binding, routing, fragments, and reusable-control expertise. · Deep SAP Gateway, OData, CDS/ABAP integration, and end-to-end debugging expertise. · Complex implementation and production-support experience in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA. · Hands-on BAS, VS Code, Eclipse/ADT, Git, and enterprise engineering practices. · Strong Launchpad, authorization, deployment, embedded, hub, and cloud-scenario knowledge. · Demonstrated technical leadership, stakeholder communication, governance, and mentoring. · Experience with AI-assisted software engineering, Generative AI, SAP Business AI, SAP AI Core/AI Launchpad, or equivalent enterprise AI capabilities is preferred. Preferred Qualifications · SAP Fiori certification. · SAP BTP, Build Work Zone, RAP OData V4, automated testing, and CI/CD experience. · Exposure to procurement, sourcing, MM, SRM, finance, or other enterprise processes.
