LOCATION INDIA HYBRID: NOIDA, GURGAON, BANGALORE, HYDERABAD This is a hybrid role. This model requires the ability to work in a hybrid mode from our office in Noida/Bengaluru. Our office culture is designed to foster in-person innovation, collaboration, and connection with team members, local and visiting, from other global offices. THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for an experienced PowerBuilder Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in developing, enhancing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in PowerBuilder, SQL, and relational databases, along with a good understanding of application development and production support processes. The candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions, resolve application issues, and continuously improve existing applications. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop, enhance, maintain, and support applications using PowerBuilder framework - Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. - Design, develop, and modify PowerBuilder applications and components. - Write, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects. - Work with relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle,postgresql - Perform application debugging, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution. - Participate in application modernization, enhancement, and migration initiatives where required. - Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, architects, and other engineering teams. - Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development and coding standards. - Develop and execute unit tests and support system/integration testing. - Prepare and maintain technical documentation. - Participate in release and deployment activities. - Provide L2/L3 production support and ensure timely resolution of critical incidents. - Identify opportunities to improve application performance, stability, maintainability, and user experience. REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS - 5+ years of hands-on experience in PowerBuilder development. - Strong knowledge of PowerScript and PowerBuilder application development. - Strong SQL development and database programming skills. - Experience with SQL Server / Oracle / Sybase databases. - Good understanding of relational database concepts, joins, indexing, stored procedures, and performance tuning. - Experience with debugging and troubleshooting complex application issues. - Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. - Experience working with source control and deployment processes. - Good understanding of enterprise application architecture and integration concepts. PREFERRED SKILLS - Experience with PowerBuilder upgrades or migration to newer versions. - Experience with PowerBuilder DataWindow and complex UI development. - Exposure to REST/SOAP APIs and application integrations. - Experience with application modernization or migration from legacy technologies. - Knowledge of .NET, Java, or other modern application technologies is a plus. - Experience supporting business-critical enterprise applications. - Exposure to CI/CD and DevOps practices is desirable. SOFT SKILLS - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a distributed team. - Strong customer and business orientation. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within timelines. - Good documentation and knowledge-sharing skills.
