As a Lead Software Engineer reporting to the AVP - Software Engineering, you'll play a critical role in designing and delivering technology solutions that power Nasdaq's platforms and support clients across global markets.
You'll thrive in this position if you're a strategic problem-solver with deep technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for building scalable, high-impact systems in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deliver end-to-end technology solutions — including systems strategy, integration services, and custom application development — for internal and external clients.
Lead the full development lifecycle: from architecture and coding through testing, customization, and deployment to meet client requirements.
Drive new technology product ideas and strategic product extensions, establishing specifications and collaborating cross-functionally to ensure successful implementation.
Partner with infrastructure, network, and systems architects to prepare detailed technical specifications that support scalable, secure solutions.
Provide technology consulting expertise across areas such as information security, data strategy, systems architecture, and application integration.
Required Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems development, or a related technical discipline.
Proven ability to design, code, test, and customize complex technology solutions aligned to client or business requirements.
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills with experience working across global, matrixed teams.
Commitment to ongoing professional development in computer engineering and emerging industry technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in capital markets, fintech, or a regulated technology environment.
Background in technology strategy consulting or client-facing solution delivery.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, API architecture, or enterprise systems integration.
This position will be located in Atlanta, GA and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 3 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.
