Software Developer - Database Administrator - Senior

We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Engineer/Database Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of software development experience with a strong background in cloud technologies and database administration. Work Schedule: M- F 40 hours a week Essential Responsibilities: Capacity planning. Supporting implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems. -Managing IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems. Providing support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client problems. Performing server and storage capacity management and planning for the most complex and critical systems. Recommending and implementing process and tool improvements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization's change management and configuration management processes and systems Managing, monitoring, and administering database system performance and schedule activities. Performing optimization and tuning of data loads and extractions. -Installing and configure database environments and associated storage systems. Performing backups/restores, and archive data. Designing, Developing, and Maintaining database applications within the cloud environment for new applications development or the transition of legacy applications to the cloud environment. Minimum Requirements: Experience interpreting data models and developing database structures; using standard diagramming techniques to design and develop computer data models; and implementing and troubleshooting programming changes and modifications. DBA support of SQLServer and Postgres databases Knowledge of security requirements for databases, developing, documenting, and implementing backup and recovery procedures. - managing the databases for high availability Experience configuring, managing and maintaining the operation of complex relational databases; familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems. Experience monitoring critical systems. Technical Knowledge: Data base management system software — Database management software; Microsoft SQL Server undefined Development environment software — C#, Microsoft Visual Basic Clearance Required: TS/SCI w/ Poly Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
