Job description
Amazon DSP (ADSP) is building the next generation of AI-led performance advertising and the Bravo team is at the center of one of its highest-leverage, least-solved frontiers: making performance advertising work for non-endemic (NE) advertisers, brands that sell off Amazon (financial services, telco, auto, travel, DTC, and app advertisers).
This is a rare opportunity to build foundational systems from the ground up rather than maintain mature ones. The core serving, signal, and experimentation infrastructure for NE performance is still being shaped — the architecture decisions you make now will define how Amazon serves this multi-billion-dollar demand for years. As an SDE II you'll design and ship the production systems that put ML models into the real-time bidding path, evolve customer-facing experiences to grow NE demand and close the measurement loop for off-Amazon conversions.
Key job responsibilities
Build 3P eCommerce integrations that connect non-endemic advertisers' off-Amazon storefronts and commerce platforms to ADSP — enabling product, catalog, and conversion data to flow into bidding, optimization, and measurement.
Build advertising console experiences - the campaign creation, management, and reporting surfaces in the Amazon advertising console that make non-endemic performance buying simple, including eligibility, onboarding, and conversion-setup flows.
Build non-endemic conversion and signal pipelines— ingesting and processing off-Amazon signals to power optimization and performance models in close collaboration with scientists.
Drive end-to-end GA launches, building customer-facing products and own operational excellence for your services: monitoring, alarming, on-call, and reduction of defects and tech debt.
Partner closely with applied scientists, product managers, and partner teams across advertising to translate ambiguous, novel problems into shipped customer-facing systems.
A day in the life
You might start the day working on the feature tasks assigned to you within the sprint which could range from implementation, architectural design to research and scoping. You may have team meetings with product to brainstorm future phases of a feature and determine roadmap for the product we are building. Because this space is still being built, your work is rarely "add a field to an existing service" — it's "design the service." You'll have unusually high ownership and direct line of sight from the code you write to a top company priority.
About the team
Bravo builds the AI-led demand products — Performance+ (P+), Brand+, DVA+, Smart Display, and Smart STV — delivering industry-leading outcomes for brands of any size at global scale. The non-endemic performance charter is one of the org's most visible bets: a hard, greenfield problem space with executive sponsorship, close science-and-engineering partnership, and real customer impact. We value engineers who thrive in ambiguity, want deep ownership, and are motivated by building durable foundations rather than incremental features.
