Platform Engineer – VCF Networking

Job Description: Please review this requirement We are looking for a senior hands-on engineer to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of VCF Networking. Core Competencies Experience building highly reliable fault tolerant Distributed Systems Strong familiarity with database internals (e.g., Postgres), replication, TCP/IP and virtualized environments (i.e.VMWare vSphere) Deep experience in architectural transformation and modernization of existing services into containerized applications, owning the deployment, infrastructure, and ongoing orchestration on Kubernetes platforms Recent and proficient experience with Java, C++, Go, Python, or similar Pragmatic thinking and ability to jump into an ambiguous area and break down complex problems Solid understanding of modern development practices including Automated testing, Fault Injection and Performance Responsibilities Design, lead and maintain multiple platform components including runtime libraries, messaging and datastore services ensuring robustness, scalability and performance Apply industry standards and best practices to help transform home grown database into highly available and scalable containerized service on kubernetes Mentor and guide junior developers. Requirements Bachelors degree in Computer Science and 8+ years of experience in distributed systems design and implementation; at this level a post-graduate degree is typically expected or Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience and 6+ years of experience in distributed systems design and implementation Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is USD 121,900.00 To USD 195,000.00 As a valued member of our team, you'll be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and the opportunity to receive not only a competitive new hire equity grant, but also annual equity awards, connecting your success directly to the company's growth.
