Job description
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
Waze is where people and technology meet to solve transportation challenges. It's a platform that empowers users to contribute road data and edit Waze maps to improve the way we move about the world. As the social navigation pioneer, Waze leverages mobile technology and a passionate global community to redefine expectations of today’s maps.
Manage technical incident response and diagnosing issues by querying datasets with SQL and analyzing structured data formats (such as XML, JSON, GeoJSON, Datex2, WZDx, and ArcGIS) to uncover root causes.
Design, test, and deploy automated triage rules, self-service diagnostic tools, and generative AI support workflows (such as AI-assisted case routing, automated validation, or conversational agents) to reduce manual escalation volume.
Transition technical troubleshooting workflows to global vendor operations, including authoring standard operating procedures, decision trees, training curricula, QA rubrics, and SLAs.
Configure and govern escalation queues, routing logic, and SLA tracking in CRM or issue-tracking platforms (such as Salesforce).
Collaborate with software engineering, product management, and data science teams to prioritize diagnostic tooling and pipeline improvements, while communicating technical resolutions clearly to external partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience in program management.
Experience in data analysis.
Preferred qualifications:
Geo spatial experience.
