Staff Software Engineer

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $207,000 - $301,000 + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits determined by role, level, and location. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain large-scale software solutions to solve ambiguous problems. Develop the mid-term technical vision and roadmap while guiding and vetting complex system designs. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables while facilitating alignment and clarity across teams. Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers, mentoring individuals on design principles and best practices. Review code from other engineers to provide feedback on best practices, testability, and efficiency, Define and implement new team standards, improve documentation, and triage complex system issues. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field and 8 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineer-related occupation. Position requires 6 years of experience in the following: Designing, writing, testing, and maintaining software applications; Selection and design of algorithms and data structures for system optimization (scale, speed, efficiency); Applying systems architecture knowledge to optimize system testability, performance, reliability, and cost; System-level problem analysis (technical and organizational); and Technical leadership including team member development and performance feedback.
