As a pivotal member of the Avionics Computing Products department, you will collaborate with a team of systems, hardware, and software engineers, spearheading the development of innovative computing products for the Avionics Business Unit. In this role, you will take on the exciting challenge of being an avionics systems engineer and certification focal. Your responsibilities will span the creation of comprehensive requirements, meticulous verification and validation, and the development of detailed design documentation for avionic electronic systems. You will be responsible for planning and supporting the team with all certification related documents and issues. Join forces with our experts in paving the way for future advanced avionics solutions. What You Will Do: Plan and lead the system certification events (SOI1, SOI2, SOI3, SOI4, TSO). Support product architecture related to design for a successful certification strategy. Oversee the scheduling and maintenance of test equipment and assets. Primary point of contact for all certification related questions and issues. Mentor other systems engineers, collaborate closely with hardware, software, firmware. Travel up to 10% Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience. Non-US Person - Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the company’s immigration sponsorship now or in the future. The company will not offer immigration sponsorship for this position. The company will not seek an export authorization for this role. Experience with the avionics equipment certification process. Experience with safety critical system, hardware, or software development (e.g. DO-178C, DO-254, or ARP4754A). Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with Collins Management System for bid and pursuit work. Experience working with and testing embedded hardware and software. Experience developing automated tests utilizing scripting. Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers. The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
