Roles and Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will:
Define, develop, and evolve software solutions in a fast-paced Agile development environment using modern software technologies and cloud infrastructure.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to an Agile team of approximately 5-7 engineers.
Partner closely with Product Line Leaders to understand product vision, customer needs, and business priorities.
Translate product requirements and vision into prioritized user stories and deliver high-quality solutions within established timelines.
Collaborate with product leaders and software architects to develop long-term, multi-generation technology roadmaps.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency by reducing duplication, promoting reuse, and leveraging shared technologies and platforms.
Support and champion continuous improvement initiatives across software development, maintenance, and support activities.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to align priorities, activities, and deliverables.
Contribute to the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and secure software products.
Help ensure team members have a clear understanding of business goals, priorities, and strategic direction.
Facilitate the transfer of complex technical and domain knowledge by partnering with subject matter experts.
Apply software development best practices, including: Agile and Lean methodologies Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) Software and product security Scalability and performance optimization Documentation standards Refactoring approaches Testing strategies and techniques
Design, develop, test, and maintain code that meets quality standards and business objectives.
Analyze application performance and recommend improvements where needed.
Build and optimize core data structures and algorithms using the technologies selected for the project.
Proactively share knowledge and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or another STEM-related discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics).
Minimum of 4 years of professional software development experience.
Minimum of 3 years of experience with front-end technologies, including: JavaScript HTML5 CSS AngularJS
Minimum of 3 years of experience developing applications using: Java Spring Boot Apache Flink Relational and non-relational databases
Minimum of 3 years of experience developing cloud-based software solutions, including development, productization, installation, upgrades, and patch management.
Minimum of 3 years of experience developing microservices within a Kubernetes-based ecosystem.
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following experiences would be valuable:
Experience with database frameworks and tools such as: JPA Hibernate JDBC Spring Data
Experience with modern development tools, including: Gradle Maven Git SVN NPM
Experience with event streaming, messaging, and distributed systems technologies such as: Kafka WSS MQTT RabbitMQ gRPC Kinesis Cloudera Spring Messaging
Experience working in an Agile development environment and applying CI/CD practices.
Experience writing maintainable, testable code supported by comprehensive unit testing.
Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, including: Kubernetes Docker Helm
Experience building scalable cloud-native applications using RESTful microservice architectures serving multiple customers or tenants.
Experience with AWS services supporting end-to-end application workflows, including authentication, authorization, security, routing, auditing, and patching.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $105,600.00-$158,400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
