Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM Data Architect(R2) to support the design, implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of the enterprise CMDB/CSDM.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Administration and implementation of CMDB/CSDM,Discovery, CMDB data quality, and integration onboarding.
The resource will work closely with CMDB Architects, Infrastructure Teams, Cloud Teams, Application Owners, and Platform Engineers to maintain accurate and reliable Configuration Management data.
Key Responsibilities:
CMDB & CSDM Architecture & Governance
Maintain CMDB data models, CI class hierarchies, relationships, and lifecycle management processes.
Support CMDB governance activities, foundation data management, and onboarding of new applications and services.
Support the implementation and adoption of CSDM across Business Applications, Application Services, Technical Services, and Infrastructure Services.
Assist with CMDB audits, compliance reviews, and remediation initiatives.
Discovery & Integrations
Assist with Identification & Reconciliation (IRE) configuration and data source governance.
Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot ServiceNow Discovery, MID Servers, and Service Mapping.
Support onboarding and maintenance of CMDB integrations such as AWS, Azure, SCCM, Qualys, Wiz, Armis, Nozomi, and other data sources.
Troubleshoot discovery, reconciliation, and CI population issues.
Data Quality & CMDB Health
Monitor and improve CMDB Health focusing on Completeness, Correctness, Compliance, and Data Freshness.
Investigate and remediate duplicate, stale, orphaned, and incorrectly classified CIs.
Support Data Certification, Data Attestation, and data quality improvement initiatives.
Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for CMDB data issues.
Experience Required:
5-7 Years of Overall IT Experience
Mandatory Experience
Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on ServiceNow experience.
Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting CMDB, CSDM, ITOM Discovery, and ServiceNow platform administration.
Working knowledge of CMDB Data Architecture, CI lifecycle management, and data governance concepts.
Experience supporting CMDB integrations and onboarding new data sources.
Good understanding of ITSM processes and ServiceNow platform capabilities.

The candidate must possess the following active ServiceNow certifications:
CSA – Certified System Administrator
Certified Implementation Specialist – Data Foundations (CMDB & CSDM)
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Implementation Specialist – Discovery
CAD – Certified Application Developer
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – IT Service Management (CIS-ITSM)
Soft Skills:

Ability to work in a global and cross-functional environment.
Strong documentation and knowledge-sharing mindset.
Eagerness to learn and grow in CMDB Architecture and ITOM domains.

Ability to troubleshoot Discovery, CMDB, and Integration issues.
Experience supporting enterprise CMDB environments.
Capability to work with infrastructure, cloud, application, and security teams.
Ability to improve CMDB data quality through governance and remediation initiatives.
Demonstrated interest in growing into a CMDB/CSDM Architect role.
