Let me tell you about the role As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, and operation of backend systems and services that power our core technology platforms. You’ll partner across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure solutions—while driving performance improvements, automating workflows, and shaping best practices across the stack. What you will deliver Design and build sophisticated backend services, components, platforms, and APIs—RESTful and GraphQL—for scalable, secure communication with frontend and external systems. Own the full development lifecycle from ideation to production, collaborating with engineers across disciplines to deliver reliable, high-quality systems. Write clean, secure, testable, and maintainable code. Establish CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks for rapid deployment and robust validation. Integrate backend systems with internal and third-party APIs, ensuring smooth data interoperability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Data Science, UX) to solve business problems and improve system design! Stay up-to-date with emerging tech and actively participate in code reviews and engineering best practices. What you will need to be successful (experience and qualifications) Technical skills we need from you Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. 3–5+ years designing and scaling backend systems with strong object-oriented or functional programming experience. Proficient in C#. TypeScript and Python familiarity required; must be comfortable working across platforms. Experience building and consuming RESTful and GraphQL APIs in distributed, microservices-based architectures. Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and systems design. Skilled in deploying and operating cloud-native services (AWS, Azure, or GCP), with a focus on scalability, performance, and security. Proficient in working with various databases (relational, document, key-value, graph), including modeling and optimizing queries using SQL. Experience with infrastructure automation, production monitoring, and performance tuning. Skills that set you apart Self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and drives clarity and results independently.
