Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) is looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer based in Manhattan Beach, CA . Our Team works on state-of-the-art Mission Planning systems. Responsibilities Include: Create and maintain the software CI/CD pipelines to enable fast, bug safe delivery of critical business software to production. Set up Development, Test, and Build environments for the team Work with various team members to create a product for deliveries Create and update Windows installers Install, test, and verify software products Maintain multiple baseline repositories Provide support to team members with issues relate to build and installation. Define and implement software version control processes, policies, and procedures. All work must be performed on-site in Manhattan Beach, CA Basic Qualifications: BS or higher degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) or related field from an ABET accredited university 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering or software build management OR 3 years of experience with a master’s degree in a related discipline Active DoD Top Secret clearance, adjudicated within the last 5 years Clearance to Highest Level of ATDC SAP Demonstrated experience with DevOps engineering principles Knowledge and experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) Practices Experience using and managing one of these CI/CD tools: Bamboo, Jenkins Development experience in one or more of the following scripts: yaml, Python, PowerShell, Curl, Unix Experience with at least one object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, C++) Knowledge and experience in one or more of the following tools: GitHub, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube, Ansible, VisualBuild, InstallShield, Wix Ability to work on-site in Manhattan Beach, CA Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Microsoft Windows-based Applications Experience specifically with these tools: InstallShield, Visual Build Pro Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology Software testing experience Proficiency in one or more of the following: C#, .NET Framework, Java, C/C++ Expert Windows and Linux administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning and proven Automation/Coding experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with containerization (Docker / Podman) Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements, streamline activities, and develop efficiencies Excellent communication and organizational skills; strong interpersonal and analytic skills Active / Current DoD Top Secret clearance, adjudicated within the last 5 years Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
