Job description

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
The Google Pixel team focuses on designing and delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience. The team works on shaping the future of Pixel devices and services through some of the most advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics. This includes bringing together the best of Google's artificial intelligence, software, and hardware to build global smartphones and create transformative experiences for users across the world.
The Pixel Software team is responsible for core software running on Pixel devices and comprises the major software subsystems and features. In this role, you will partner with a team of software engineers to manage multiple critical AI/ML software work streams.
The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Seek out all necessary schedule inputs and develop a solid, defensible plan for software development release and keep the team tracking to it.
Manage communication of progress/status within the core team and externally (customers, partners, etc.), and escalate issues as necessary.
Focus on the user experience and advocate for the Android/Pixel quality bar internally, as well as with OEM internal and external partners to ensure we maintain a great product.
Translate complex technical requirements into repeatable operations protocols.
Manage the software development life-cycle of AI/ML features for Google Pixel.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program management.
Experience with AI/ML model development and deployment.
Embedded software development experience.
Preferred qualifications:
5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
Experience with specialized machine learning infrastructure, as well as with Android and deploying on-device ML models.
Experience in building products from concept to launch on mobile devices.
